All things, it seems to me, must we test

Accept the truth, reject the rest

So we must investigate or try to see what makes a grown man cry

Macho, big, tough, and strong

To admit their tears they think is wrong

But let me tell you on the sly

Yes!

These “real, grown” men do cry

Mom is gone now - that’s very tough

Didn’t hug her near enough

She’s with her maker in the sky

Forgiveness causes a grown man to cry

Leave your homeland - perhaps forever

Start a new life - forget home never

You may in this new land die

Memories may cause a grown man to cry
